Making Changes to Your Benefits

The medical, dental and vision coverage elections you make when you are first hired or during Annual Enrollment remain in effect throughout the calendar year. Each fall, during the Annual Enrollment period, you will have the opportunity to change your elections for the upcoming calendar year.

Other than during the Annual Enrollment period, the only time that you may change most of your benefit coverages is when you have a Qualifying Status Change, as defined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Below is a partial list of the most common Qualifying Status Changes and the benefit changes you might be eligible to make based on that change in your status. A complete list is available through the Circuit .

When you have a Qualifying Status Change, you may be able to drop or add coverage, and/or change the level of coverage (e.g. single to family) because you have experienced a loss or gain of eligibility for coverage.

You must request the change in coverage within 31 days of the status change by logging into Alight Solutions, or by calling Alight Solutions at 1-888-234-7771. You can make changes to your HSA contributions anytime by visiting Alight Solutions. Go online or contact Fidelity’s NetBenefits at 1-888-234-7300 to make changes to your TIP contributions; you can also manage your TIP and Health Savings account investments and beneficiaries.
